Ladies' 1s 0 - 2 Stourport Ladies 1s

Hawks Ladies' 1s made the journey over to high flying Stourport, hoping to replicate their superb performance from the previous weekend. Hawks took a little while to settle into the game but started well passing the ball strongly and creating some attacking chances, capitalising on possession following a green card for Stourport. However Stourport upped a gear to put Hawks under a lot of pressure all over the pitch and following a turnover, a Stourport striker was one on one with Hawks goalkeeper Jess Hughes. Hughes managed to divert her wide however the ball was then played across to an arriving Stourport forward who slotted into an empty net to open the scoring. Hawks continued to be under pressure outletting the ball but managed to create some attacks through man of the match Henri Gordon. Hawks defended a series of penalty corners strongly, and then looked close to equalising through Catherine Reaney but the home side defended well. Towards the end of the second half Stourport deflected a penalty corner strike into the net  Hawks continued to work tirelessly to try and create attacks but ran out of time to mount a comeback with the end result 2-0 to Stourport.
