Last minute loss for Ladies 5s

17 February 2018, 11:00, Banbury School

Ladies' 5s 2 - 3 Banbury Ladies 3s

We started strong and Sherene had an early chance, after a cracking ball from Vicky on the right, which escaped her! A period of Hawks dominance followed and we got our goal! Sherene took an excellent touch off of a rebound from the goalkeeper to knock it through her legs!

Banbury equalized from a short corner. Doh!

We pressed hard and an excellent through ball from Vicky, to Sherene who found PIP who acrobatically swept  the ball into the goal!

Half time… Hawks lead 1-2.

The second half consisted of more Hawks  dominance but sadly with no goals and then Banbury were awarded a flick which Purdy couldn’t quite get too.

This gave Bunbury some confidence and they pushed us hard and were rewarded with a late goal at the far post just 3 minutes from time.

We walked out defeated and deflated after a close loss but remain in second place thanks to a loss for close rivals P and R. Promotion is still in our hands!

Pip earned man of the match for her hard work tireless energy and amazing goal!
