The steaks are raised as Hawks L3s beat Oxford 3s 2-0

Ladies' 3s 2 - 0 Oxford Ladies 3s
Hawks were all up for the return match against Oxford L3s at Oxford Brookes followed by Victoria's carrot cake, Six Nations Rugby and, for a hungry few, eating their body weight in steak at the Chester.
The first five minutes of the match found Hawks pinned in their own half under pressure from a seemingly determined Oxford team. It was not long before Hawks conceded a penalty corner and found themselves defending it a man down as Nicky Thornton was too fast running out and continued trotting to the halfway line. The defence reorganised their line up and GK Linda Billington saved the ensuing shot, sending it wide past the right post for a long corner. This was the wake up call that Hawks needed. They were now a force to be reckoned with and were soon two goals up in the first fifteen minutes. Megan Minton scored the first from a reverse strike which flew into the top right corner leaving Kate Brine in the Oxford goal no chance. Soon after Alex Richardson scored her first goal for Hawks from following up on a penalty corner. Hawks were well and truly in control of the game at half time.
The second half saw a composed performance by Hawks retaining possession, patiently transferring the ball around the back and dominating midfield. The game finished a comfortable 2-0 win to Hawks.
