The Ladies 2s had their 2nd game of the weekend on Sunday 28th January and this time they were playing Reading 3s. After a tight game in the 1st half of the season, Hawks knew they would have to play well in order to get the 3 points.

Reading started better than Hawks and were immediately in Hawks D. However Hie Sawyer decided to take matters into her own hands and 15 minutes into the game, scored Hawks first goal from open play. Hawks lead didn't last long and 2 minutes later, Reading scored making it 1-1. Gabs Mcerlain scored just before half time but again Reading responded immediately and at half time, it was 2-2.

Hawks were determined to start the 2nd half well and were immediately rewarded a penalty corner which Em Wilkins converted. Hawks created a numebr of further chances but were sadly unable to convert. Reading were awarded a penalty corner on the 49th minute and calmly converted it past the Hawks defence.Man of the match, Gemma Taylor defended with great composure and determination but was also a massive asset to the team when going forward as well.

Hawks worked tirelessly until the final whistle but sadly weren't able to convert any further opportunities but look forward to their next game against Henley on the 3rd February.
