The M1's completed a successful two days by handing out their second eight goal battering of the weekend - this time Horsham were the recipients. As on Saturday against the University, Hawks were very quickly into their stride, playing some swift and flowing hockey - Jack Biggs firing home the first two penalty corners of the game inside the first five minutes. Andy Watts added two and Matt Woods one to make the score 5-0 with only fifteen minutes on the clock. It was already looking like a long afternoon for the visitors, and Watts added to their misery when he completed his second hat-trick of the weekend before half time.
Hawks were unable to keep up the pace in the second half, and the quality of hockey dropped allowing Horsham to score a soft consolation. Biggs got the score board ticking over again for Hawks with another penalty corner conversion to match Watts' feat of two hat-tricks in a weekend, before play became even more ragged and two games in two days took their toll. It was left to Ted Bennett to complete the scoring with a crowd pleasing reverse stick strike in off the post and wrap up the points to take Hawks back to the top of the table ahead of the clash with London Edwardians next Saturday.
