Falcons 5 - 1 Horsham Men's Vets
The Falcons lent Horsham 4 players to ensure the league fixture went ahead at a cold BRN and won easily by 5 goals to 1 with Paul Brees deputizing for the injured Richard Wilsdon in goal, Dave Hughes took over at centre forward for the nasally impaired Bear Smith and added some much needed pace to the forward line.
Bargain basement Russell Warner opened the scoring and a second soon followed as Steve Griffiths slotted home. Phil Dunnill took advantage of a raised ball to make the score 3 nil. Horsham pulled a goal back through Hawks loanee Dave Wells and the score was 3 - 1 at half time.
Some harsh words at half time regarding the complacency of the Falcons was heeded and Skipper Dave Hughes finished off two good Falcons moves to make the final score 5 goals to 1.
Many thanks to both Hugh and Rodney for umpiring and a good time was had by all especially Breesy! MOM was awarded to Rory Bowden for his fine play for both sides.
Thanks to Clive Jones for the excellent photos.
