Ladies 5s win and finally keep a clean sheet

18 November 2017, 10:30, Banbury Road North (Top)

Ladies' 5s 5 - 0 Bicester Ladies' 2s

Hawks ladies 5s started rusty and Bicester put lots of pressure on at the beginning of the game. Hawks started moving the ball around and after a great cross from the right wing from Sophie D, Sherene scored the first goal for Hawks. After some end to end play, and lots of deflections from Bicester goalie,  Lotty took an early strike in the D, Sophie M scored the second goal from the rebound off the keepers pads.

In the second half, Hawks looked like a different team (again!). Hawks were passing the ball around, transferring well and putting lots of pressure on Bicester. Apart from a few forays towards the Bicester end, play was relentlessly in Hawks attacking half. A goal came from open play after Caitlin passed into the D to Pip who scored in left post. Soon after, Sophie D sent in another great cross which Sherene buried into the goal. Bicester goalie had a great half and saved another attempt from Sherene, ending on the floor and preventing a goal but conceding a short. Hawks won quite a few shorts but the goals came from open play. Sherene achieved a hat trick after two further great crosses in from Sophie D across the goal - Sherene burying it beautifully each time.

A great result for Hawks Ladies 5s putting them joint second in the eague.
