It was the 1st game of the season for the U16B girls and it was against a strong, well organised Thame side. Thame put GK Emily and the Hawks defence of Annabel, Charlotte, Emily and Holly under a lot of pressure initially but the score remained at 0-0. However the Thame forwards worked well to convert an opportunity early on in the 1st half. This did not deter the Hawks side and they were rewarded with a number of attacking corners and were unlucky not to score from this.
Thame used their experience and skill to score a further 4 goals however Hawks worked really well together and Olivia, Bea, Gabriella, Elen, Amelia and Mimi were able to create a number of attacking opportunities which resulted in 2 goals.
Man of the match went to Bea as she used her speed and skills to get round the Thame defence. She also worked really hard and was constantly giving an option to the player on the ball. Finally Bea scored both goals!
The final score was 5-2 but the team look forward to their next game against Bicester on Sunday 19th November.
