Ladies' 1s 2 - 1 Isca Ladies 1s
The ladies 1s took on ISCA today for their second league game of the new season. Hawks looked strong from the first whistle, with man-of-the-match Row Hearn cutting the pitch in half with some excellent balls out from the back to set up some lovely flowing hockey.
The quality soon paid off and Hawks were rewarded with a goal in the first 5 minutes thanks to some beautiful interplay from forwards Annabelle Denly and Catherine Reaney before Katie Lowe finished clinically at the back post.
As ISCA began to respond, Hawks continued to look strong with a series of important interventions from Captain Bex Oakes in the midfield. Annabelle Denly continued to threaten the ISCA defence with her pace and tenacious tackling causing them all sorts of problems.
