Ladies' 3s lose at Amersham

04 March 2017, 10:00, Amersham & Wycombe College

Ladies' 3s 0 - 7 Amersham & Chalfont Ladies 1s

It was a tough start for Hawks as pressure was piled on from the start by Amersham. Despite great effort from our defence and Linda in goal they managed to get a break and an early goal. After that we had some great play in the middle with some fantastic runs from Emily Dawes and Emma Stevenson, we managed to get a few short corners that we were unlucky not to convert. Amersham fought hard and gained another few goals from speedy players. We went into half time 5-0 down.

After half time we came out fighting, but so did Amersham. Despite tireless efforts from the defence, midfield and some amazing saves from Linda in goal they managed to put away another goal. Throughout the second half we had some more opportunities that we were unluckily unable to convert. Amersham managed to put way another goal before the final whistle leaving the score at 7-0 to Amersham at the end. Mom went to Lizzie for her tireless efforts in the middle of the pitch.
