Windsor deny Ladies' 4s a win

25 February 2017, 15:30

Ladies' 4s 1 - 1 Windsor Ladies 1s

Ladies 4s travelled to Windsor for a late game at 15:30.

The Hawks didn’t bring their “A” game. The plan was to run through the space to the “D" but Windsor had lots of defenders in their first quarter making it difficult to make a sufficient pass to team members.  But there often was a change in play as both teams kept playing the ball against the foot so there were lots of short corners for both sides but non of them resulted in a goal. After about 13min Rebecca scored the first goal of the match for the Hawks 1 - 0.

There was a lot of back and forth play from either side for a while but nothing interesting was happening.  Both teams went for the opposite “D" but this did not result in either team scoring, until roughly around 24min into the game Windsor took their chance and levelled the score to an even 1-1.

The second half of the game was very much like the first half, a lot of short corners given to either team, neither team were able to score though.  Through the end Hawks started misdirecting our passes to the opposite team.
The match ended with an short corner for the Hawks but Windsor were able to defend and prevent the Hawks for getting another goal.
Although it was a draw, our spirits were not flattered and we are pleased that we are still head of the league and undefeated.
Izzy won MOM.
