Oxford Hawks made the long journey down to Exeter and were slow to start going down 1-0 after a quick turnover and a great finish by the home side. In the second half Hawks came out fighting with player of the match Katie Lowe causing all sorts of trouble for the Exe defence. The away side were rewarded with a quick goal with Annabelle Denly driving across the D and shooting to the far post where Catherine Reaney got in front of the keeper to deflect it in to make it 1-1. Hawks then took the lead from a goalmouth scramble where captain Bex Oakes hit the post and then Lucy Stewart finished well from the rebound. However minutes later Exe levelled from some quick passing around the Hawks players where they finished well again. In the last minutes of the game Hawks thought they'd snatched all three points only for the goal to be disallowed.
