Hawks started with some composed play, leading to an early goal courtesy of Tim Webster. This was quickly followed by a second goal by Mark Crowley. At 2-0 Hawks looked in dominant form, with controlled passing around the back and progress up the pitch. However, Hawks were then beaten to the ball at the top of the D, with Banbury striking home their first goal.
Shortly after half-time, Banbury were gifted their second goal, following a tussle in front of goal, with Brett Morrison defending well against several slashing stick tackles.
The game was then in the balance at 2-2 for much of the second half, with Tom Biggs making some great saves in goal before Hawks took the lead again with their third goal, scored by Chtris Pittaway. This was quickly followed by some great play by Cameron Saint and Ed Baldock, who laid it off to Nathan Monk who slotted in the fourth goal, just before the final whistle.
