Plenty of chances for the Ladies 2s but sadly no goals.

Ladies' 2s 0 - 2 Marlow Ladies 1s

The Ladies 2s were feeling confident after playing well against top of the table, Chiswick the week before and this came across when they were up in Marlow's D 1 minute into Saturday's game. But unfortunately they were unable to convert their first opportunity. This was a common theme in the 1st half and Hawks were punished when Marlow got into the D a hand full of times in the 1st half and managed to score 2 goals.

Hawks started the 2nd half brightly and a good move from Mary Douglas and Emily Court resulted in another short corner, however the Marlow GK made another great save. Hawks were confidently playing the ball around and played some great hockey in the 2nd half. Man of the match April Beford defended really well and helped to prevent further Marlow goals but was also really effective going forward and caused all sorts of problems for the Marlow defence.

Marlow's GK had a really good game but the Ladies 2s were not clinical enough when they were in the D which resulted in a 2-0 loss. However the Ladies 2s look forward to playing West Hampstead on Saturday 11th February.
