Mens 6's fail to repsond to the rat catcher's return

21 January 2017, 15:30

Men's 6s 0 - 2 Milton Keynes Men's 4s

With the return of exiled skipper, Rat Catcher Extroadinaire, ine would have thought that the least the team could do would be to win. But sadly, despite actually playing very well, they came away with nil points again. Gilman was energetic and skilful, and everyine played pretty well, in fact they had two attacks in the firt half and scored twice....nothing to do at all with the defence given the improved speed of the skipper at the back...

Highlight (or lowlight...?) of the gane was Wellsy, in the second half who, with no cover behind him decided to advance with the ball, well into the opponents half.....and he suddenly panicked at the thought of a nose bleed and...yes.. the MK forward swept (tackle would be an incorrect term) the ball from him and raced towards the hawks goal. Obviously, the rest of the team was in complete shock at Wellsy's error, and it was Bunny (the Aussie marauder) who woke up and went into a whirling sprint of half the pitch to somehow catch the youthful MK forward just as he was about to shoot.....

Unsurprisingly DoD was Wellsy, and again unsurprisingly Bunny was MoM (Gilman was disqualified from the votes for the following reasons - not passing to anyone other than Ash; leaving without payung match fees; and being unavailable for the next century.....
