The chums celebrate the festive season early

Men's 2s 4 - 3 Newbury & Thatcham Men's 1s
The 2's decided to celebrate Christmas early on Saturday. Hosting table proppers Newbury and Thatcham the chums marked the approach of the festive season by the giving of presents, all of which were gratefully accepted by the visitors.
Three times in the first half the 2's went ahead and within minutes of scoring on each occasion they waved the visitors through to equalise.
A fourth goal from the chums just before half time meant that the teams turned round with Hawks 4-3 ahead.
That is how it remained and I will spare the reader any description of the second half which was, thankfully, scoreless.
