Falcons win tight game against Southampton Vets

19 November 2016, 12:00, Banbury Road North (Near)

Falcons 4 - 1 Southampton Cockburns

The Falcons took on Southampton Vets in a top five clash at BRN and as always the opposition were very competitive and a tough match. The first half was tight with few chances, Dave Hughes deflecting a Phil Dunnill pass just wide of the post. Simon Smith opened the scoring just before half time with a deflection from a Dunnill cross.

Southampton started the second half better and equalised through a clever deflection from a cross ball. The Falcons began to get a grip on the game and Smith brace put them clear and completed his hat trick - there was time for handbags and a sending off for each side and a fourth goal smashed in by Mike Henman from a short corner.
