Falcons hit 5 against South Berkshire Vets

05 November 2016, 15:30, Banbury Road North (Near)

Falcons 5 - 0 South Berkshire SuperVets

The Falcons took on South Berkshire Vets at BRN and the newly formed side mainly comprised of familiar Wokingham players and the new side gave a good account of themselves in the first half but faded after the break. The Falcons scored two goals in the first half -  one through a Bear Smith short corner and a well working move finished by Phil Dunnill. The visitors wasted opportunities to score as they failed to convert 4 short corners.

The second half was more one sided as the visitors tired and the Falcons took advantage - Bear Smith slammed a short corner though the keeper and John Kaluza finished a reverse stick shot in to the goal for the 4th. A fine move started by Bear Smith involving passes with Dave Hughes and Ian Sobey was volleyed past the keeper to complete the scoring, Bear Smith's hat trick and MOM award.
