The Falcons welcomed back Peter Bennett and Chris Hutton to the line up but a regular stole the limelight in the form of Chris Billington who played superbly in his central role. The Falcons soon took the lead with a well placed pass from John Kaluza gave Ian Sobey the task of placing the ball in the net at the far post. A defensive blunder allowed the hardworking Marlow side an equaliser slightly again the run of play.
The Falcons continued to dominate and missed some guilt edged chances with the visitors' goalkeeper playing well but he had little chance when a defensive error found Russell Warner on the 25 yard line, he slipped the ball to Steve Griffiths who made no mistake in slotting the ball to the keeper's right. Mike Henman added a third when striking an unstoppable shot in the top corner of the net.
With the Falcons firmly in control at half time and leading 3 goals to 1 the second half was quite uneventful. Further goals were added through David Hughes and Peter Bennett and the Falcons ran out clear winners by 5 goals to 1.
