Ladies' 7s lose out to Slough 3s in top-of-the-table clash

01 October 2016, 10:30

Ladies' 7s 0 - 2 Slough Ladies 3s

Slough started off strongly but we defended well.  They were denied any opportunities to score until late in the first half.  On their 5th short corner they managed a strike which our GK could not get to.  We attacked back but failed to score.

At half time we agreed to try and keep possession by using short passes and keeping the width.  We put together a lovely series of passes.  A well-taken short corner saw Mimi slot the rebound in behind the keeper.  Unfornately the whistle had already gone, so it was disallowed.  Slough continued to attack.  Annabel did some excellent tackles and strong clearances.  A Slough pass to a forward on the top of the D lead to a slip to a forward near the P-spot and they inevitabley scored.

The final score was 2-0 to Slough.  Congratulations to Annabel who was woted player of the match for her excellent game.
