In this half-term fixture, Hawks U16s, including a fair number of U14s, faced a strong Surbiton side in the Home Counties Girls' League Premier League West.  The League leaders caught Hawks sleeping at the start of the match, scoring 4 goals swiftly.  However, Hawks started to turn the tide towards the end of the first half, when Row opened the scoring with a strong slap from the top, then Holly capitalised on a great post position to deflect the ball reverse stick past the outstretched Surbiton keeper.  2-5 down at the turn, a stirring half-time talk by Coach Kerr, and Hawks staged a magnificent fight back in front of a passionate parental crowd, winning the second half with another 2 goals  - but just not enough to catch up on Surbiton's early lead.
