The Falcons start their Fantasy Season with a cracker of a win!
19 December 2015, 12:00, Banbury Road North (Near)
Falcons 5 - 1 Woking Pitts
The Falcons added one of the 7th team players to their side to replace their Captain David Hughes who is recovering from a knee operation; the youngster Simon Dawson did a fine job and added to his season's goal tally with two quick goals. The first was after a trademark run though the middle and a carefully placed shot to the keepers left. His second was from a short corner where his shot eluded both John Black and the keeper.
Russell Warner doubled his goals for the season with a good run and rocket shot to make it 3 and if you believe all that you probably still think there is a Father Christmas! Although Neil Biggs limped off it was good to see him starting at centre half and seemingly comfortable despite a small twinge and coming off as a precautionary measure.
Steve Griffiths, who had been a bit off colour, finally got on the score sheet with a diving reverse stick defection, man of the match Phil Dunnill capped a fine game with a good goal. It just left for enough time for Woking to pull a goal back, not quite sure how it happened but it made the crowd laugh!
