The Falcons took on Epsom at BRN and just edged a close game against 4th in the table Epsom. This win moved the Falcons into 2nd place just behind Guildford. Epsom had the early pressure and soon took advantage of the Falcons losing possession and scored first. The Falcons equalised in a fine move as John Kaluza burst through the Epson defence and his pass found Tony Henman who neatly shot past the Epsom keeper. Mike Henman then slotted 2 short corners - one high to the keepers right and another low along the ground and the Falcons looked like they were in control. Epsom pulled a goal back before half time after a contested short corner has been awarded against John Kaluza for feet. The score remained 3 - 2 at half time.
The Falcons started the second half firing on hardly any cylinders and soon Epsom took control of the game and scored 2 quick goals to take the lead. The Falcons were in disarray and needed to find a way back into the game and this came in the unlikeliness of manner as Rogan Meadow somehow shot past the keeper from a narrow angle and the scores were level.
There only seemed to one winner now as the Falcons swarmed forward and were awarded a short corner much to the disgust of the opposition and Mike Henman switched the corner for John Kaluza to sweep the ball into the net. This all was too much for one member of the Epsom side who was sent off for dissent. The Falcons nearly scored again as John kaluza hit the post with a rising shot but play was stopped for an injury to a defender. A good competitive game finished controversially but the Falcons win again.
