Hawks hosted London Wayfarers hoping to continue the form that saw them put Henley to the sword the previous week and build further momentum. Expectations were high on a warm afternoon, but the game started with neither team able to stamp their authority. Hawks attempted and pushed to cut through a well organised and stubborn Wayfarers defence. They did mange to break the deadlock mid way through first half with some excellent inter passing between Chris Hardy and Dan Rhodes ending up with Hardy setting up Tom Lawson with a simple tap in at the far post. The game continued to be scrappy and a battle of the midfield until the half time break.

Second half started with hawks trying to stamp their free flowing style on the match with little success. They had many circle entries but were able to find the killer pass. Wayfarers were able to soak up the hawks pressure and caught them on the break to equalise against the run of play. Jack Biggs restored the hawks lead, expertly converting a penalty corner against the wayfarers impressive keeper. The game continued to remain very scrappy with wayfarers giving the hawks players very little time on the ball and were rewarded by converting a dubiously awarded penalty corner. Tensions were starting to run high with cards being handed out by the umpires but Hawks responded the best way with a fast break leading to Sam Chilvers crossing the ball for Alex Williams to calmly convert, making it 3-2 to Hawks. They managed to see the match out after sustained  pressure from wayfarers and finishing the match with 9 men. Not Hawks' best performance but 3 points none the less which keeps them 3 points behind the league leaders.
