Falcons remain top of the league wth comfortable win

17 October 2015, 15:30, Banbury Road North (Near)

Falcons 4 - 1 Winchester Wanderers

The Falcons without playing too well beat bottom of the table Winchester Wanderers by 4 goals to 1 at BRN. The Falcons remain top of the league after winning all their 5 league games. Russell Warner  and Dave Hughes were both rested from the line up with thoughts of  the HA Cup game on Sunday.

The Falcons despite dominating the first half were only 2 goals to the good through Andy Sumser and Steve Griffiths. Chances were missed as the visitors' keeper played well and in truth if Winchester has taken their only two chances - which looked harder to miss - the score could have been level at the break.

In the second half the Falcons added a third through Steve Griffiths after fine play by Phil Dunnill and John Kaluza completed the scoring after flicking in after the keeper saved. Winchester pulled a goal back near the end.
