With Charlie Plumptre joining Andy Kaye in defence, the base was set, and Rodney Lorrimar (an Aussie - strangely quiet about his compatriots rugby success) got stuck in down the flanks.
We had a new addition in goal too, whereas one is normally asking for more vocals from a keeper, this is certainly not the case with Josh, who had a good game when called upon.
The midfield ran the show with students (or ex?) Zandy Neasham and Alex Martin giving great debuts, with Harry Hitchin continuing on where he left off last week, top knot included.
The younger players seemed to inspire the more mature members of the team, McGrigor and Elliot have never run as much as this before, aided by the energetic Nico and the promise of goals....their rewards duly came.
Everyone else played well, Alex Martin justifiably man of the match with 3 goals and a masterclass in midfield.
The JR is currently having to deal with a number of uncontrollable nose bleeds due to the team being in second place (on goal difference) after two games...
