Having taken three points last week Hawks entertained Lewes at home.  The match did not start to plan, from the first whistle a Lewes forward carried the ball into the Hawks 23 to be flattened by an overzealous challenge from Will Phillips. A green card for Phillips and a short corner awarded. The Lewes drag flick was stopped by the chest of Si Robinson, penalty flick.  Flick bottom left Hawks 0 Lewes 1( 1min 12 seconds )

Lewes were good going forward, their quick forwards keeping the Hawks defenders on their toes.  Hawks got themselves into the game,  creating several chances, winning a short corner. Jack Biggs stepped up and slung it past the impressive Lewes keeper.  Half time Hawks 1  Lewes 1.

The second half was edged by Hawks but it was Lewes who took the lead from a short corner, the initial flick was stopped by keeper Price only for a Lewes forward to follow up and give them the lead. Hawks moved the ball forward with purpose, winning another short corner, Biggs levelled the score.

Hawks were still edging it, with 15 minutes to go, a solo run, a goalmouth melee and quick hands from a Lewes attacker resulted in Lewes again taking the lead. Will Murch was invited to sit on the bench for five minutes by the umpire after a mis-timed tackle. Hawks again showed their resilience, an Alex Williams shot deflected by a Lewes stick leveled the score. With two minutes to go a free hit quickly taken by Hawks found a Lewes foot in the D. Up stepped Jack Biggs to complete his hatrick and win the game for Hawks.
