Hawks started extremely brightly, arguably the best ten minutes of hockey Hawks have played all season. The ball was moved swiftly around the pitch, with lots of movement off the ball passes were easily found. The Uni side were chasing shadows, Hawks were in an aggressive mood, quickly winning back the ball after losing possession. The home side won two shorts in the opening phase, the first was blocked by the number one runner, the second corner was converted by Jack Biggs.
