MK 2s held the L4s to a draw; denying us a shot at Div1 2nd place

14 March 2015, 14:00

Ladies' 4s 3 - 3 Milton Keynes Ladies 2s

An important game for Oxford Hawks 4s

A win was required,  not a loss or a draw

Promotion beckoned two years in a row

We needed to believe that it could be so.

Dream team and Rebecca resplendent in white

It was bound to be tough and we prepared for a fight

A battle it was, goals scored at both ends

The aim was a win, not to make friends

But despite the best efforts from Hawks young and old

We didn't quite manage to make enough goals

Caz, April, Rowena all managed to score

But MK as well hit home for three more

When the whistle was blown for the end of the game

The score was three all, a bit of a shame

But some good hockey was played and I can be sure

That we'll want to beat Witney  next week even more.

Man of the match Emily Taylor. Excellent cake from Rowena Hearn..
