On the first home game of the league season Senators found themselves with an embarrassment of riches: 13 fit and able players. The false sense of security this brought about was soon punctured by West Wilts who audaciously went ahead 1-0 and 2-1 in the early stages of the game. Their short corner routine in particular had the Senators' defence all over the place and only some solid goalkeeping from The Cat kept the score line at bay.
Once woken up from its slumber, Senators began to put some flowing movements together and was soon rewarded with a quick succession of goals leading to an 8-2 half time lead. After the break a similar pattern to the first half emerged, with West Wilts coming back to 8-5 and threatening to make the game interesting again before Senators put any result beyond doubt with a late flurry. The 11-5 final score demonstrated that it was a game to forget for both sets of defenders. Marky Mark once again came out as top scorer with 4 goals on a day that even H managed to get on the score sheet!
Afterwards the team reflected upon a 4th successive league win that maintained their 100% record in the league over a few beers in the bar!
