The Falcons took on Amersham and Chalfont Vets at sun baked BRN and rarely looked troubled in beating Amersham by 4 goals to 1. The Falcons welcomed back Steve Griffiths after a lengthy injury absence and he soon began to cause problems for the visitors who seemed intent on giving the ball back at every opportunity.
Phil Dunnill began to control the midfield and man of the match John Kaluza's distribution was making inroads on the hard pressed visitors defence. Phil Dunnill ran through the middle of the static defence and scored the first goal, Steve Griffiths soon added a second and the game was made safe with a close range shot from John Kaluza. Despite many other chances, mostly falling to an out of touch Russ Warner, the Falcons could not add further to their lead.
The second half was a bit less one sided as the visitors kept possession better and kept the score to a reasonable level. Steve Griffiths added his second deflecting in a shot from Shane Lovett. The Falcons continued to create chances but the only further goal came from an isolated attack for the visitors where one of their forwards took advantage of disarray with Chris Billington going off injured.
