After a disappointing result the previous week, the Ladies 2's came into this weeks game against Epsom more determined than ever to get a result. Following an intense and noisy warm up the ladies started strongly applying lots of pressure high up the pitch. Despite winning a number of penalty corners and having lots of attempts on a goal, Hawks were forced to wait to break the deadlock. When the first goal did come it came in style, started at the back by Laura Scragg at left half, the ball was transfered around the back and played high to Hannah Brown who found Storm Sunderland in front of goal. Epsom, to their credit responded well and equalised quickly on a counter attack.

Hawks were not deterred and went straight down the other end to restore their lead through another Storm close range goal. Hawks maintained their pressure leading into the half time break and saw a great passing move rewarded with a goal when Megan Jones played a great cross into the D for Storm to cheekily finish on her backhand to seal her hattrick.

Epsom came back strong at the start of the second half and had a period of sustained pressured and a few penalty corners. Hawks defence held strong with some great saves from Linda Billington and a goalline clearance by Anna Clark. The team continue to attack well on the counter with some great midfield breaks by Kathryn Poulter and Emma Hunter and finally got the all important fourth goal as Kathryn cut into the D from the right and found Storm who slotted the ball away yet again to finish the scoring for the day.

An excellent team performance saw Hawks back on track with a 4-1 win.
