After the early morning snow had disappeared Hawks entertained local rivals Milton Keynes. Hawks came out the blocks and won a short corner within the first few minutes, the low drag flick was stopped by the first runner. Hawks had full control of the game, reminiscent of last week they needed to score whilst they were on top. Against the run of play, Milton Keynes made their first forage into the Hawks D and won a short corner. A low drag flick into the corner gave MK the lead. MK had a clear game plan, get the ball into the D whenever possible. MK scored a second, from a side line put in, a MK forward drove across the pitch to the top of the D. The initial shot was saved, the rebound scored.
Half time Hawks 0 MK 2.
Hawks played some good hockey but it was always MK who looked the most dangerous. MK scored their third after a shot was saved, only for the rebound to be put in.
Final score a disappointing Hawks 0 Milton Keynes 3. A good summation from the sideline, Hawks played hockey, Milton Keynes scored the goals.
