Disingenuous Falcons win 6 - 1 at Epsom Vagabonds

24 January 2015, 13:45

Falcons 6 - 1 Epsom Vagabonds

The Falcons travelled to Epsom Vagabonds and triumphed on a hard pitch in a game they dominated hockey wise but took second place in the verbal intellectual sparring.

The Falcons scored two goals in the first half through John Kaluza and Steve Griffiths but might have benefited from two penalty strokes which were ignored by the Epsom umpire after appealing in an disingenuous manner.

The Falcons scored 4 goals in the second half  with a brace - should have been a muzzle - from Russell Warner, and a long range effort from Phil Dunnill, Giles Roper scored the best goal of the game after good work by Chris Billington and Rogan Meadows. Epsom scored a consolation through their centre forward who was nearly closely marked by Dave Blomley.

Dave Hughes did not score and Angus Fletcher was Man of the Match.
