The Falcons welcomed leading goal scorer Bear Smith and England 55's international Phil Dunnill to their side for the trip to Windsor. The Falcons started with 10 men as the Bear got stuck in motorway traffic. This did not seem to cause too many problems as the front two of Giles Roper and Dave Hughes were causing big problems stretching the home team's defence.
The Falcons soon took the lead as Russ Warner's shot corner shot was cleverly deflected in the bottom corner by skipper Dave Hughes. The skipper soon doubled their lead with the easy task of scoring after good work from Giles Roper. Giles soon got the goal he deserved and Phil Dunnill made it 4 after a pass from Dave Hughes. The nap hand was achieved as Russ Warner converted a short corner with a firm shot into the bottom corner.
Well, the Bear finally arrived and goals were promised! The Falcons increased their lead as Dave Hughes crossed for Steve Griffiths to turn in at the far post. Dave Hughes scored his hat trick as he turned Russell Warner's short corner home. The Bear turned provider and made a goal for Giles Roper to make the score eight nil. Russ Warner smashed another short corner in to complete the scoring.
