A much better performance from the Men's 6's saw them snatch a draw from the jaws of victory courtesy of a brilliant strike by Look alike KP, returning in place of his brother Mark, countered by a depressingly slow back pass by Skipper Spittles which resulted in two shorts - from one of which they scored the equalizer!
Hawks were bolstered by the influx of youth with Man of the match Harry Venables and Toby Maclachlan giving a much more vibrant team sheet than of late.
The team played well organised hockey that frustrated the opposition, and created a few half openings, but Hawks were denied many clear cut chances.
As the game went into the second half with no goals scored, Look alike's goal looked as if could be the deciding one, and with some mazy runs from Affie just not getting the required outcome, one goal was always going to be light, as it proved!
Many thanks to Nairda Sniggih and Geoff Pavey for umpiring, and keeping the game in the right spirit.
