The Falcons strolled to a routine win against short of numbers Wokingham. The visitors turned up with 8 men and the Falcons supplied 3 squad players to make a game of it. The Falcons soon began to dominate the game as the midfield began to push forward and Wokingham struggled to contain the Falcons strikers.
The Falcons from one of their short corners took the lead as Russ Warner's shot was deflected by Dave Hughes into the goal. Soon the lead was doubled by Russ Warner at the next short corner, this time he shot directly into the bottom left corner - watch out Bear Smith!
Giles Roper made it 3 as Russ Warner's shot was only parried by the hard worked Wokingham keeper. Steve Griffiths was put through and cleverly lifted the ball over the keeper to make it 4 and that completed the scoring at half time.
The second half was more even as Wokingham came into the game more and pulled a goal back as the Falcons' defence was outnumbered and the Fantasy League clean sheet went south. The best goal of the game was scored as Trevor Brothers slipped the ball inside the defender of the right of the D and Dave Hughes controlled and passed for Steve Griffiths to finish the fine move. There was time for Dave Hughes to score but then to admit his feet had been involved and have the goal chalked off - as Fantasy points went further south!
