Ladies' 5s 3 - 1 Scarlet Runners Ladies' 1s

On another early Saturday morning we were determined to keep our 100% win record intact and stay clear at the top of the league table.  The lineup was an unfamiliar with a couple of new players and some regulars playing out of position.  The game started well with Hawks being awarded a penalty flick after 8 minutes after a foot on the line.  This was easily converted by Emma Hammond with a strong push to the bottom right hand corner.  Unfortunately we relaxed a little after the goal and the opposition had a quick break and equalised a minute later.
We continued working hard and won a number of short corners, one of which was converted  by Jo after a shot from the left slip deflected off the keepers pads.  We continued battling hard and after another scramble in the D Millie put another goal in after 28 minutes.  And so we were 3-1 up by half time, but had struggled to keep our shape.
We went out for the second half determined to score more goals and improve our goal difference but Scarlet Runners held out and the game ended 3-1.
