The men's 2s travelled to Eastcote looking to build on the week before.
Hawks started brightly keeping the ball, but Eascote settled into the game and began to put pressure on creating some early chances and winning short corners. The pressure told when Price couldn't keep out a well struck shot from a short corner. Eastcote continued to apply pressure but the Hawks defence stood strong and went in 1-0 down at half time.
Hawks came out for the second half playing with more composure and strength keeping the ball well and controlling the game. Eastcote became more and frustrated with the umpires and eventually talked themselves into a yellow card. Hawks began to tighten the screw getting into the Eastcote D and looking to get something from the game.
The game became very end to end with both keepers making saves until Sobey scored an equaliser to complete a great couter attack move 10 minutes from time. Some good saves from Price kept Eastcote at bay as both teams were searching for a win. Hawks claimed their first points of the season, a single point but a great performance which stands the team in good sted for the rest of the season.
