Today we played Wallingford ladies 3 at home. Hawks started strong, passing the ball around confidently which led to Megan setting up a goal for Linda in the 15th minute. However Wallingford managed to break through our defence and equalise. The score now 1-1. Hawks kept their heads up and built play around the pitch. Communication was high and this aided our second goal. Olivia broke through Wallingford's defence and passed the ball to Emma who posted up from inside the D, turning and striking the ball which went in the bottom left corner of the goal. At half time the score was 2-1 to Hawks. The great play continued after a inspirational half time talk from Henri, who, despite wearing the opposition's colours, was a great asset to have on the sideline.

Hawks won numerous penalty corners in the second half which resulted in a super goal scored by Blanche (who was standing left slip). Hawks finished the game with another fantastic goal. Lissy stormed into the D and powered the ball into the goal.

The game finished at 4-1. Many thanks to the junior girls, who after playing for the ladies 5s went and did ball patrol for the ladies 1s.

Man of the match went to Blanche who was unbeatable in the Hawk's defensive line.

Thanks to Evelyn Hargraves for the photos.
