We arrived at Slough for 12:00pm start, along with the typically English wet weather.

Soaked through, we began our less than enthusiastic warmup, however by the starting whistle we were focussed and determined to continue our 100% winning season so far.

Starting the game with dominance we controlled the play and forced the first goal gaining a short corner. The ball was passed out by Dette to Mary who smashed it home to the left bottom corner. A quick second goal followed from a beautiful pass across the D from Rachel to Dette who slipped it in to the goal to gain an early 2-0 lead.

More continued possession for hawks led to numerous chances which then led to a 3rd goal taken into the D by Dette who took a firm shot to score.

We then continue our scoring opportunities with a fantastic goal scored by Rachel from a pass across the goal from Kate.

We ended the first half with a 4-0 lead.

Numb from the cold despite taking our break under the stairwell of the clubhouse we went out determined to get more goals and to go home with a win. However Slough came back fighting with many of opportunities to score but Purdy stood her ground not allowing anyone to even get close to the goal. With a strong defence as well both Jan and Becky and Deborah were’nt allowing anything in the back of the goal.

Rachel then finished off proceedings with a bullet of a shot to make it 5-0.

The game finished at 5-0 to Hawks and a very deserved victory especially with the weather.  Kally was voted player of the match for an excellent game.
