Maddie makes her mark at Maidenhead

21 September 2014

U16 Girls A 4 - 3 Maidenhead U16 Girls

Hawks got off to a great start with Maddie scoring within the first 10 minutes, this gave Hawks the upper hand and gave us a very positive start. However Maidenhead responded quickly to this with them scoring from a short corner making it 1 all going into half-time.

As the whistle went for the start of the second half Hawks went out strongly after having a long half-time talk with Nathan! Shortly after Jen scored a deflection from Olivia's shot on goal putting Hawks in the lead again, making it 2-1. Within 3 minutes of attacking play Hawks scored again with Jen hitting the ball at the keeper but Maddie taking it from the keeper's feet and placing it in the net, making Hawks lead increase to 3-1. Unfortunately for us this wasn't the end as Maidenhead hadn't given up yet, they managed to put 2 goals passed our keeper making it 3-3. But we weren't going to give up yet. There was 10 minutes left and Izzy received the ball on the T spot driving it in and lifting it into the space for Maddie to slip it into the goal around the keeper, making the final score 4-3.
