It felt good to have 13 players to take to Wycombe, not so far to travel this time however it still took two goals in the back of the net before we woke up....the last 10 minutes of the first half saw the team connecting better and stringing passes together. It was a shame that the whistle went for a short corner just as the ball was heading into the net and it was still 2-0 at half time. Deciding to persevere with the England hockey formation it didn't take too long for the two goal deficit to be pulled back to 2-2 with goals from Rebecca and Vicky. Wycombe responded well though and it was only a few moments before they were back in the lead. And then it was 4-2. There was no giving up and Eagles had a sustained period of pressure. Half a dozen short corners should have led to another goal but somehow the ball was saved repeatedly by the goalie or defenders, and so another defeat at the final whistle.
