Reading Vets came to BRN trying to defend their unbeaten record and a win would have ensured the league title but they will have to re-group and get a result at second placed Sevenoaks next Saturday after losing 2 nil through second half goals from short corner specialist Bear Smith.

Reading started slowly and were under pressure from the outset but the Falcons struggled to make any clear cut chances, The Falcons closest efforts came from a Dave Hughes deflection narrowly wide of the post and a Bear Smith short corner that was turned round the post. Reading grew into the first half and began to dictate and missed a good chance just before half time as the Reading forward failed to turn in cross from close range.

The second half was a cagey affair with neither side dominating but the Falcons won the game with two short corner strikes from Bear Smith which in the end was the difference between the two sides. We all wish Reading luck in winning the title next week at Sevenoaks.
