Hawks local derby against Milton Keynes was a must win for the home team. Hawks needed one point to secure their future in the league. Hawks started well winning 3 short corners in the first 10 minutes, the MK goal was not troubled. Against the run of play MK won and converted a short corner. With 2 minutes to go of the first half MK extended their league.  Half time Hawks 0 MK 2.

The second half followed the same pattern, for the statisticians Hawks had 11 short corners and hit the post 3 times. Hawks scored through Charlie Ellison scoring his 11th goal of the season from a short corner and Matt Richardson hitting a fierce shot.  Hawks should have won the game easily, a lapse of concentration with seconds to go presented MK with their fifth entry into the D of the whole game. MK scored, the final whistle blew, MK give themselves a fighting chance to stay up, Hawks have to fight to get the point that will keep them up.
