The final email from our absent skipper before he left to party up North was ' 6 wins out of 7 - don't you dare lose'..............  no pressure then!

An early 10.00 am push back away at Abingdon meant that still half asleep we started slowly and found ourselves 1 -0 down after 10 minutes. This seemed to shock us into some kind of a response and eventually a typical Karl Hack poachers effort, hit 6 inches off the end of his nose, levelled the score.

Following stand in captain The Chair Higgins half time 'chat' , we started to create more chances. With a steady back defence line not allowing a single short for the opposition throughout the whole game, continuing pressure in their half resulted in Karl Hack again finding the net  - this time slightly further out from goal. A late Christian Van Engers shot from the edge of the D was turned into the goal by the oppo and the 3 points were secure.

It wasn't pretty hockey this time but another win leaves us 4th in the table!

MOM - only a few went to pub afterwards but think we agreed it was Karl?????
