Congratulations for summer time successes

So much to celebrate this week!
Many congratulations to the large number of Hawks junior players who have been invited to take part in six weeks training at the Junior Regional Performance Centre over the summer.
These players have all been selected from their County squads (now known as Junior Academies).

.......to Frank Nawn, who has been selected to play for Scotland over 60s for the European Championships in Germany, having already played in the home Internationals this year at Durham. He might see Andy in Germany, who will be there representing England over 45s….

..........to Ben Mitchell and Ethan Chapman who are currently participating in the Exsportise Training Camp at Seaford College, having been awarded a scholarship through Ian Cordwell. They are being coached by John Bell, the England U21 coach and Dave Davey (England U21). Ethan and Ben are playing with many equally talented players from all over Europe.

........to the Hawks Mens Touring side (effectively = Mens 3s!) who went to Beeston at the start of July and returned triumphant with the Vase Trophy! I think that is all the details I need to put in Squawks………what goes on tour stays on tour and all that….!!

.......to the Ladies 5s who, somewhat belatedly, have been promoted to Division 4 of the Trysports Three Counties league!!!

.......to Hawks B who won the Ladies Summer League !!!! This was the biggest Summer League in Oxfordshire history, with 17 teams entered this year. Congratulations to joint skippers Phil Williams and Jacqui Barlow who lead their team to a 2-1 victory over Witney in the final!

Finally, congratulations to Zoe Salter and Nick Lamb who were married last weekend at Cokethorpe School ! They also win the prize for “Best Ever Oxford Hawks wedding cake”……….
