Hawks v Ashford Kent

For the third week in sucession Hawks made the long trip to the South East corner of England. A depleted Hawks side took on a lively Ashford Kent,  Ashford started strongly and moved the quickly around the pitch. Hawks had several chances but it was Ashford who went ahead after keeper Phil made a relatively simple save, only to see the ball deflect back into the goal of Si Robinsons size 12 left boot. This summed up the day, Hawks had plenty of opportunity but no outcome.  Ashford score their second goal after the Ashford forward played a one two off Si Robinson chest, not seen by the ump.  Half time Ashford 2  Hawks 0.

The second half was a good open game of hockey, Hawks played some really good hockey winning a number of short corners and keeping the Ashford keeper busy but could not score.  Full time Ashford 2  Hawks 0. 

A dissapointing last 2 games of the season, but with promotion secured, Hawks can look to the next season with the knowledge they do not have to travel so often to the French border.
