Harriers take winning form into 2012
14 January 2012, 16:30, Banbury Road North (Near)
Harriers 3 - 0 Oxford Girls Development 2
A young Hawks Girls Development side beat the cold temperatures to play Oxford on Saturday afternoon. Hawks played some great hockey, looking dangerous going forward and always 'jumping back' when Oxford gained possession. However, despite creating several chances, it wasn't until well into the first half that Hawks went ahead when Chloe Scragg scored from close range. The second half saw good hockey from both teams but goals from Sienna Robbins and Annabel Gulliver meant Hawks ran out 3 - 0 winners on this occasion. Flora Smiley was 'player of the match' following a fantastic performance at full back. Many thanks to Bex Strange, Katie Merrick and Abi Flory for playing alongside the youngsters in their second game of the day and to Frank Nawn for umpiring.
