Harriers 2 - 0 Oxford Girls Development
Oxford Hawks Girls Development Team, The Harriers completed the first half of their fixtures on Saturday with a win against local rivals Oxford. With the young players in the Hawks team coming mainly from the u12s, they faced a tough test against a strong Oxford side and the game was a credit to both teams. There were chances at both ends in the first half before Ellie Millington put Hawks ahead with a confident finish past the keeper.
Hawks young players grew in confidence as the game went on, and a large part of this can be attributed to the fantastic support they received from Henri Coles, Claire King, Becca Demczak and Abi Flory. Twenty minutes into the second half an impressive passing move was completed with a fine shot from Gabriella McErlain which beat the Oxford keeper at the near post securing the three points for Hawks. Very well played to the young players on both teams and thank you to all the adults who supported them. Hawks go into Christmas top of the table having played four and won four.
